Cape Town or bust, we've made it

Arrived in Cape Town on the 11th Dec to a warm welcome. Exactly 12003 miles covered.

Time to relax and reflect on the trip we have just completed. Its amaizing how most of the countries tie into each other, be it on the European or African continent. Parts of Ethiopia seem to remind me of southern Austria for instance. Also great to just spend time with the family and enjoy the comforts we all so take for granted.

I would love to say that Cape Town is the best place to ride, but heavy winds and since being through most of Africa, this is not always true. Remember that the best rides don't only take into account the scenery, but also your experiences on the route, that's not to say the Cape Town is not brilliant in its own rights.

All the touristy boxes ticked and bikes checked into BMW for repairs and servicing, its time to head off to Durban for Christmas........
On the N1, just 20km from our destination
